Relay Works Well

The green LED shows the signal from pin 13 of the Arduino. The blue LED is powered separately and is controlled by the relay.

After trying out the capacitive touch switch successfully, I want to use it as … well … switch. In this case, I used it to switch a relay. In my (future) plan, I intend to use a lot of relays.

I tried to use the relay using the same 5 V power from the Arduino. It appeared to be too weak. So I used another power source. In this case, I used a 5 V bread board power supply. I worked beautifully. As you can see, the green LED shows the signal coming out of the pin 13 of the Arduino. The blue LED is powered by the 5 V bread board power supply and is controlled by the relay.
